Our Story
Many people spend decades building companies, taking on responsibilities, and pursuing career goals. Often, little time remains for what comes after.
We know this transition from our own experience.
Matthias stepped back from professional life at the age of 52. Not because he had to, but because he could. In 2022, he sold his IT company and shortly thereafter resigned from his professorship and civil service position in order to live a freer and more conscious life.
After many years in international management positions, Caroline also decided to embark on a new chapter in her life, moving away from traditional career paths. Previously, she worked as Head of Organizational Development in a medium-sized company and as Director of an Indian branch.
Together we fulfilled our long-held wish to travel the world for several months each year, both with our world travel vehicle and by plane.
These decisions were not a withdrawal from professional life, but a conscious desire for more freedom, time and new experiences outside of the usual daily routine.
International projects in Europe, Africa, Asia, and Latin America have shaped our perspective on responsibility, change, and new phases of life. These experiences inform our work today with entrepreneurs and leaders who want to actively shape their next stage of life.
MARO NEXT CHAPTER was created precisely from this experience.
